Is There Uber In Las Vegas? (2022 Update)

Thankfully for residents and tourists, there is Uber in Las Vegas.

Travelling in an Uber is normally one of the quickest ways to get around as well as one of the cheapest methods of transportation. If you find yourself in Las Vegas then turn to Uber as your main way to get around.

When is Uber busiest in Las Vegas?

Mornings are definitively the busiest time for Uber in Las Vegas. This is because there are many people arriving for business trips and these flights normally land early in the morning.

Besides this, the other busy times are late in the afternoon (roughly between 4 pm and 8 pm) and late at night.

Do I get benefits as a new customer?

If you are in Las Vegas and you have never used Uber before, or downloaded the app, then you are in luck! The company has a special promotion on where they are offering their first-time customers up to $20 off of their first ride. If your first trip costs less than $20 you will get it entirely for free.

If you are already an Uber customer then there are also benefits available to you such as discount codes which can be found online or are sometimes sent via email.

Is Uber safe at night?

Because Las Vegas is a city that thrives in the night there is simply so much to see and do that you won’t want to sleep. However, in most other places in the world, this can be a problem as there are often few cabs around to take you back to your home or hotel.

Luckily, Uber runs all of the time in Las Vegas, meaning that even if you want to go out and have fun, play some poker or see a late-night show, you can rest assured that you can get home thanks to Uber.

Because Uber doesn’t allow just anyone to drive for them they have a list of all of their drivers, their cars and their registrations. This means that Uber knows exactly which passenger is in which car and when. All of your ride’s details are kept on file to ensure your safety.

This is a safety measure that many other cab companies do not take, making Uber the safest option, especially at night.

Getting an Uber from the airport

If you have just arrived in Las Vegas then the very first thing that you’ll need to consider is your transport to where you are staying. Using Uber to go from the airport to your hotel is very easy.

You can even book your Uber ride up to 30 days in advance, meaning that you can have all of your transport planned in advance and your driver will be waiting for you at the airport ready to go.

Alternatively, you can simply book your Uber car upon your arrival. The service will do its best to find you a ride as soon as possible.

Please bear in mind that there is a surcharge fee for pickups to and from the airport.

Parking in Las Vegas

There are actually very few places to park in Las Vegas, meaning that using uber as your way of getting around the city is a much better option than renting a car. With rental cars you will need to go through all the hassle of picking your car, signing up, and then finding a place to park.

If you choose to use Uber in Las Vegas you can easily be dropped off as close as possible to your end location.

Does Vegas have Uber XL?

Thankfully, as of 2015, there is the Uber XL service running in Las Vegas. This is great news for larger groups of people as you can all arrive at your destination together.

Uber XLs are able to accommodate up to a total of five passengers, so if you are a very large group then you may want to book several Uber XLs in advance.

Alternatively, if you are less than 5 people you can still book the Uber XL service in order to give yourself more legroom.

Is Uber a cheap option in Vegas?

Yes, Uber is one of the most lost-cost ways of driving around Las Vegas. It is even cheaper than using local taxis. This means that your service will be safer, more convenient and cheaper! For example, an Uber ride to downtown Las Vegas will run $10 and going to the strip (where a lot of the entertainment can be found) will cost you $15.

Can I pay by cash or card?

With the Uber app you have the option of paying with cash or card, the choice is up to you. You will need to pick your preferred method when making your booking and this cannot be amended once your trip has started.
